Description
Wander a forgotten world, one memory at a time.
The Protector's Memories is a cozy solo RPG you can play with just this book, a d6, a deck of playing cards, and a journal. Every session is a quiet expedition: cross open meadows and deep woods, meet kindly villagers and odd wildlife, and slowly piece together a history you never lived.
No GM. No group to schedule. Just you, the dice, and a story that's entirely your own.
What's inside the 70-page book:
- Six biomes, each with its own creatures, inhabitants, and dangers
- Rules for exploration, combat, gathering, and magic
- Tools for building settlements, shops, and the people who run them
- NPC tables for dialogue, reactions, and backstories
- A ruins generator, complete with the strange things that live in them
- A final chapter that lets you uncover the truth and bring your story to a close
- Illustrated locations, creatures, and characters to spark your imagination
How it plays:
Roll a d6 to see how your actions turn out. Draw playing cards to reveal the land ahead. But the real game is figuring out how the peoples and places connect — what they can give you, and how you'll use it to survive.
You'll need: a d6, a standard 52-card deck (no jokers), a pencil, a journal, and the free downloadable Protector's Sheet and hex map. Two tokens (coins, buttons) help track movement and time.
1 player · Ages 12+ · 1–3 hours per session
Perfect for solo RPG fans, journaling gamers, or anyone who wants a slow, thoughtful adventure they can pick up any evening.
